My journey in life hasn’t always been an easy one. As a child I found myself searching for mentors through coaches in sports, teachers at school, and programs built for at-risk children.
I didn’t know at the time that their support would pave the way for how I choose to live my life to this day. As I continued to grow, so did my appreciation for my past, and the understanding of how life isn’t always kind to those who deserve it to be.
I started working for the YMCA as a site director for school age care at three different schools, and worked as a personal fitness instructor as well. It wasn’t long before I was committing all of my time to school age care, and changing my life’s path along the way.
I attended the University of La Crosse- Wisconsin and received a Bachelor’s in Science with a title of Recreational Management.
My love for the earth, and appreciation for nature has always been a huge part of my identity. Through my experience with being a substitute teacher, I realized that I want the freedom to teach about the beauty of life, nature, and most importantly teach children that a program can change not only a life, but the world. I know I have ambitious goals, but it’s all part of making my story a great story!”
